This is an incomplete list of steps to overcome bugs or tune the system;
you are most welcome to add improvements

DeLi comes with the Midnight Commander (start it with mc); it offers almost every tool you need for the system administration (edit, untar, copy files etc.)

This article should list the first steps to do after DeLi Linux is installed.
Think of it as a starting point for novice users.

Installing applications in Deli 0.7.2

If you performed a netinstall or wish to install more packages than the base selection you can use the command deliget. 'deliget showlist' will list all the available packages and 'deliget install PackageName' will install any package you want.
Note : Deli 0.8.0 uses pacman (see the pacman wiki page).

are shamelessly stolen from the Arch Linux Wiki at <http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pacman>

Overview

Pacman keeps the system up to date by synchronizing package lists with the master server. This server/client model also allows you to download/install packages with a simple command, complete with all required dependencies.

Setting your local time zone and performing synchronization with an NTP server

DeLi Linux uses uClibc which relys on the TZ variable to specify the local time zone parameters, unlike other implementations which refer to zoneinfo. While you can simply set the hardware clock to local time it is recommended that it be set to UTC and the TZ variable used to set the offset for the local time zone.
